The Executive Board of the Miami-Dade County League of Cities convened a meeting to discuss how the Miami-Dade County municipalities can unite in order to assist in the Haitian Relief and Recovery Effort.  We have been advised that the best way we can help at this time is by collecting funds.  The Board unanimously voted to collect funds in order to assist the people that are in Haiti.  I am asking each municipality to consider making a monetary contribution to this important effort.  To that end the League will open an independent bank account to deposit the monies received for the relief.  All funds received will be used in its entirety for this effort.

Please make checks payable to the Miami-Dade County League of Cities and in the memo portion please write Haitian Relief and Recovery Effort.
